well, its a complicated answer. the bikes ride a lot differently and a lot alike.they are both perfectly great at what they do and yet either can do both things if set up right. i ride the bottlerocket on more smooth, jump oriented trails where i prefer the blindside for longer, narlier trail although i also use it to jump and the bottle rocket can hammer the hill as good as the blindside. i would say that the best allaround ride would have to do with the owner. if you are used to the 8 or so inches of travel go blindside. if you think you can live with the smaller amount of travel definently go bottlerocket. they are both great and i think you will love either one the perfect answer is own bothSmile

lovin it you can freakin pin it on the downhill its got so much more cush than the bottlerocket. although i will say its got a purpouse, shred. where i still prefer the bottle rocket for the big jumps but who knows i will ride this one a while its a ton lighter than the bottle rocket so we will see how it works out
